I wrote this song during half-time of a Steelers vs. Ravens game earlier this fall. On my way out of the bathroom and back into the TV room I decided to pick up my guitar. Realizing that I had about 15 minutes to kill before the 2nd half, I started strumming. Next thing I knew, a song was taking shape. It was sneaky! Most of the lyrics came out before I even thought them or had a chance to write them down. It felt a lot more like discovering a song than writing one, which is really rare and exciting for me.
To me, this song is an invitation to the present moment. It reminds me not to allow the weight of the past or the uncertainty of the future to break into the present and steal moments from me. We need to be taking risks.

End of story.
